Legal
musikant is operated by Barrelman GmbH.
This page explains, in plain language, who runs the product and why the app processes the data it needs.
Barrelman GmbH is the operator of musikant and the controller for the personal data processed through this app.
musikant keeps discovery, editing, taste learning, and privacy controls inside the product. Spotify is only used at the edges: when you import a playlist or save a finished one there.

Barrelman GmbH
musikant product operations and privacy requests are handled by Barrelman GmbH.
Account-level privacy actions are available in Manage. This page is the public legal base and trust layer.
Why data is used
The app only uses data for a few specific reasons.
The legal basis depends on the job the app is doing.
Using the product
Barrelman GmbH uses your account details, prompts, playlist drafts, and saved taste choices to run musikant and provide the service you asked for.
Protecting the service
We process basic technical and security data to prevent abuse, keep the service reliable, and investigate incidents when something goes wrong.
Spotify and other optional connections
Spotify access is only used when you choose to import a playlist or save a finished draft there. Optional local-scene lookups are only used when you explicitly ask for local music context.
In practice, the main legal bases are performance of a contract or steps taken at your request, legitimate interests for security and reliability, and consent for optional connected-account features.
Your controls
You should be able to see, move, and delete what belongs to you.
These controls are part of the product, not hidden behind support.
- Export the data tied to your account.
- Ask for deletion of your account and stored taste data.
- Withdraw optional permissions by disconnecting Spotify or stopping local-scene use.
- Contact the operator about privacy or legal questions.
